Because syncytiotrophoblast in chorionic villi secrete HCG, the resence of HCG in bioprinted model will be determined experimentally. In order to accomplish this, ELISAs will be conducted with mouse anti-vimentin antibody to obtain other images that will provide us with additional knowledge about the structure and function of the model.

Experiments to determine a better ECM for JEG3 adhesion will be conducted utilizing different materials, such as fibronectin, at various concentrations. An integrated model with improved features will be printed again and fluid will be pumped through the vessel to mimic the placental diffusion system.
